30+ Years of British Manufacturing

Kalsi Plastics has been manufacturing plastic building products in Birmingham since 1993. What started as a small operation with a clear vision—to produce quality products in the UK for UK customers—has grown into one of Britain's leading manufacturers of rainwater, drainage, roofline, and building plastic products.

Today we operate from extensive facilities at Tomey Road in Tyseley, Birmingham, employing over 320 people across our UK manufacturing facilities. We've never lost sight of our founding principles: make quality products, control the manufacturing process, and support the merchants and tradespeople who depend on reliable supply.

Our Founding Principles

When Kalsi Plastics was established, the UK building plastics industry was increasingly dominated by imports. We saw an opportunity to do things differently—to manufacture in Britain, create British jobs, and deliver the quality consistency that only comes from controlling your own production.

Three decades later, those principles still guide everything we do. We've invested continuously in our Birmingham facilities, bringing more processes in-house and reducing dependence on external suppliers. We manufacture our own raw materials, run our own extrusion lines, and operate our own injection moulding. This integrated approach means we can guarantee quality that importers simply cannot match.

Proud to be a Birmingham Manufacturer

We're proud to be part of the Midlands' deep industrial heritage—making things, employing local people, and contributing to the regional economy. Our Tomey Road facility represents major ongoing investment in British manufacturing.

When politicians talk about backing British business and supporting manufacturing jobs, we're an example of what that looks like in practice: over 320 employees, continuous capital investment, and products shipped to merchants across the UK every day.
